The Sunshine Coast Public University Hospital is set to revolutionise healthcare in our region.

The hospital is being built as part of the 20ha Kawana Health Campus and will treat about 60,000 patients each year in the emergency department alone.

Health and Medical Precinct and Education Portfolio Councillor Peter Cox said local businesses could learn how to maximise business opportunities for facilities management services within the new hospital precinct at next week’s Industry Suppliers Briefing.

“This event will be run by Spotless, the facilities management provider for the public hospital, and will provide information to regional businesses about how they can tap into future opportunities within the new Kawana Health Campus,” he said.

“The briefing will also provide advice about how businesses can register for Expressions of Interest and how Spotless does business and what they look for in supplier relationships.”

The suppliers' briefing is free of charge and will be held at the Lake Kawana Community Centre on Wednesday March 25 from 4pm to 5.30pm.

The event will be organised and facilitated by Sunshine Coast Council and the State Government.

Places are limited and registration is required by 5pm on Monday, March 23.
