Sunshine Coast Libraries are planning for the future and we want to hear from you.

Libraries are one of council’s most visible, highly utilised and valued community services, so when planning for the future, it’s only fitting that we find out what the community thinks.

The feedback you provide will help us develop a plan that aligns with the community’s needs, and for helping us out, you’ll go in the draw to win an iPad Pro.

Community Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said it was important for our libraries to continually evolve to meet the needs of our diverse and growing Sunshine Coast community.

“Libraries across the region provide access to an eclectic range of collections, services and activities that support intellectual, educational and creative development,” Cr McKay said.

“To maintain a contemporary library service, we need to continue reflecting the needs of our community.

“That’s why council wants to know things such as; where you think libraries should be located; what services libraries should focus on; when is the best time for you to access those services; and, how you would like to access them.

“It is this feedback that will help to shape the future of our Library Network Plan.”

To complete the online survey, head to council’s website and click on ‘Have your say’ before September 17.

Hard copy surveys are also available at your local library or customer service centre.
