Venture behind the scenes of true creative collaboration and enjoy a fashion and visual art spectacular during CollabAnation, the next Friday3Live event at Caloundra Regional Gallery from 6-8pm on September 21.

Set amongst the Sunshine Coast Art Prize exhibition, CollabAnation will feature designer/stylist and milliner to the stars Cindy Vogels, local artist Alison Mooney, sister sopranos Bridget and Genevieve O’Brien and many more local creatives, followed by DJ Roland West.

Cindy Vogels is a local fashion designer/stylist/milliner with a difference.

Venturing into creative collaborations the world over, Cindy has presented her handcrafted millinery at London Fashion Week and dressed some of Australian music’s best and emerging artists, with many music videos and red carpets having been adorned with her gowns and unique designs.

She also worked for the one-and-only Lady Gaga in 2014.

Alison Mooney is a local artist whose art is energetic, with influences drawn from attitudes of graffiti, activism and “sugar pop”.

Sisters Bridget and Genevieve O’Brien are sopranos who have performed at events on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane.

Genevieve has a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium, and Bridget is in her final semester, currently rehearsing a brand new Australian opera, "Dry River Run", to be performed at the Conservatorium Theatre in September.

Together, this creative collaboration of amazing artists will present a night not to be missed.

The cost to attend is only $15 and places are limited so make sure you book early to avoid missing out.

There will be complimentary snacks and a cash bar available for drink purchases.

This event is a part of council’s fabric – Slow Fashion, Artful Living program.

Friday3Live is held at the gallery on the third Friday of every month and includes a changing program of interactive activities, music, talks and performances.
