Share the spirit of Christmas with friends and family by heading to one of two carols events being held across the Coast this weekend – Carols on Kings in Caloundra and Glasshouse Country Community Carols in Beerwah.

Council is pleased to partner with a variety of organisations to bring community carols events to residents and visitors across the region. As a major partner, council continues to support family focussed, free celebrations.

To continue the Christmas season celebrations, the annual Carols on Kings will be held this Saturday night, December 19, from 4.30pm – 8.30pm at the Kings Beach Amphitheatre.

Division 2 Councillor Tim Dwyer said Carols on Kings would once again be a fun event for locals and visitors to enjoy.

“Grab a blanket or chair and head down to Kings Beach on Saturday for a night to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and the entertainment that I’m sure everyone will enjoy,” Cr Dwyer said.

“The great local talent will perform all of our favourite Christmas carols, there will be food and drink stalls available and the kids will love a visit from Santa.”

For ease of transport, a free shuttle bus will operate from the Caloundra Bus Interchange to the Amphitheatre every 10-15 minutes between 4.30pm and 9.30pm.

Glasshouse Country Community Carols will also take place on Saturday, December 19, from 5pm – 8.30pm at the Beerwah Sportsgrounds.

Division 1 Councillor Rick Baberowski encouraged the community to come along and enjoy a great relaxed country town atmosphere under the stars at the Beerwah Sports Grounds.

“With an excellent program of traditional entertainment from the choir, bands, solo and group performers, this is definitely an event the whole family will enjoy,” Cr Baberowski said.

“Pop a blanket or folding chair under your arm and settle down into a country Christmas atmosphere, while encouraging the kids to enjoy the jumping castle, animal nursery, or the Australia Zoo Croc Van, all of course topped off with a great fireworks finale.”

Council is a major partner in bringing five regional community carols events to residents and visitors across the region - Carols at Cotton Tree, Carols on Kings Beach, Nambour Community Carols, Glasshouse Country Carols and Christmas in the Park at Coolum Beach.
