Easter time

There will be a few changes over the Easter weekend to Sunshine Coast Council operations and services.

Customer Contact Centres

Council’s customer contact centres in Caloundra, Maroochydore, Nambour and Tewantin will be closed on Friday 6 April and Monday 9 April. Calls made to council’s contact number on 5475 7272 over the Easter weekend will be diverted to an emergency answering service. Normal operating hours for council’s phone number and customer contact centres will resume on Tuesday 10 May from 8.15am to 5pm.

Libraries

All Sunshine Coast Libraries will be closed for the duration of the Easter weekend. All libraries and mobile library services will be closed on Friday 6 April, Saturday 7 April, Sunday 8 April and Monday 9 April. Normal operating hours will resume for each library and mobile library service from Tuesday 10 April.

Galleries

Noosa Regional Gallery and Caloundra Regional Gallery will be open on Saturday 7 April and Sunday 8 April from 10am to 4pm. Both galleries are exhibiting from local private collections that feature diverse and interesting works. Children’s activities at Caloundra Regional Gallery include Super Snooper and the Kids Construction Zone will be open at the Noosa Regional Gallery. The Butter Factory Arts Centre in Cooroy will be closed over the Easter weekend.

Recycling Centres and Rubbish Tips

All of council’s waste disposal and recycling centres will operate as per normal hours during the Easter weekend.
