Sunshine Coast Council presents The Light of Time: Creeks, Pools and other Stories exhibitionby renowned Sunshine Coast artist David Paulson at Noosa Regional Gallery from 11 October to 25 November 2012 .

Curated by Noosa Regional Gallery, the exhibition is a retrospective examination of Paulson’s career as an artist, illustrator and lecturer over fifty years. The art of David Paulson has taken many forms from sculpture, water colours, drawings and most notably paintings through to prints and illustrations.

The Light of Time: Creeks, Pools and other Stories aims to display current and past works, some seen together for the first time, delivering an enduring survey collected for audience engagement and enjoyment. The exhibition includes his recent winning entry entitled Autumn Pool, Maleny in the Kenilworth Art Prize in 2010, with other works included in collections around the country and overseas. The exhibition will identify Paulson’s significant contribution and his long career while highlighting the impact he has made within the contemporary Australian art scene.

The Light of Time: Creeks, Pools and other Stories will be officially launched at Noosa Regional Gallery on Saturday 13 October at 2pm. All art enthusiasts are invited to attend the launch and the artist talk at 10.30am on 19 October. Noosa Regional Gallery is open free to the public, Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
