Cr Robinson - The rickety bridge
Thank you for your patience while the rickety bridge at Dick Caplick Park was finished it's great to have it open in time for the summer holidays. The opening was delayed while some important finishing touches brought it in line with safety standards. I was keen for it to reopen quickly as we could see how much the kids loved it.

The sturdy balanced bridge
I’m pleased to advise the new Eumundi Range Road bridge will be open to traffic over the Christmas break. Traffic controls will still be in place and motorists are asked to drive to the conditions. Work will continue after the Christmas break to finish the bridge balustrading. We’ve worked with community representatives to develop a unique look for the pedestrian balustrading. It will feature a timber hand rail made of recycled timber from the old bridge and will look great once it is in place.
Another good year for ECCO
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Eumundi’s community groups for another great year, wrapped up with ECCO’s AGM. Welcome to new chair Louise Formosa and also to Paul Curtis and Carol Dolan. Other members include Donata Page, Terry Lawrence and Barry Adam. I wish the group all the best for another productive year ahead.
Season’s Greetings
By the time I write my next column the holidays will have been and gone, so I would like to wish you all a happy and safe Christmas and New Year. I look forward to catching up with many of you in 2016.
