Bli Bli projects for the 17-18 year
Council’s record $722 million budget for this coming financial year focuses on delivering Australia’s leading healthy, smart and creative region – for today and for generations to come. There is significant investment in major projects and community infrastructure, with a capital works program of $237 million.
Highlights for Bli Bli include $415,000 for streetscape design and underground power, $55,000 for a shade structure over the playground at Muller Park, $35,000 to renew play equipment at Sam Bowda Park and $12,000 to replace the slide at Casey Street Park. There are a range of other projects slated for other areas of Division 9 and the wider Sunshine Coast. I encourage you to visit council’s website for all the details.
Muller Park skate event
The Bli Bli Neighbourhood Watch Skate Competition was held on Sunday May 29. It was a really exciting event, with many skaters of all ages entering the competition to show their skills and athleticism. A huge thank you to Bli Bli Neighbourhood Watch for organising the event and ensuring its success for our community.
Meet and greet
I’ll be at the Bli Bli River Markets, outside the IGA, on July 4 from 9-11am. Come along if you would like to chat about council projects or local issues.
