New $2.6 million roundabout gets traffic flowing at Mons Road intersection

I was pleased to officially open the new roundabout at the intersection of Mons Road and Owen Creek Road in Forest Glen recently.  Anyone who drives these roads will appreciate what a difference this has already made for motorists and cyclists. We have already received great feedback from residents who find it much safer, easier and faster to travel through the area – particularly for school drop off and pick up, and to access nearby businesses.

Smoother drive thanks to council’s road reseal program

Council maintains more than 2200 kilometres of roads across the region through its Road Reseal and Rehabilitation Program to ensure they are safe for motorists. Through this program, council repairs road failures, improves the road surface, and renews line marking - all to ensure the region has safe and high quality local roads. In 2017/18 the $17.9 million program includes more than 70 kilometres across 155 roads. Your cooperation and patience is appreciated while work is underway.
