Council values our community groups and the amazing work they do to make the Sunshine Coast a great place to live, work and play. With that in mind, I am delighted to announce that I’ve signed off on the following major community grants from my annual Division 6 discretionary fund.

Council values our community groups and the amazing work they do to make the Sunshine Coast a great place to live, work and play.
With that in mind, I am delighted to announce that I’ve signed off on the following major community grants from my annual Division 6 discretionary fund.
These include:
- Buderim Men’s Shed - $25,000 worth of electrical works for their new Men’s Shed.
- Sunshine Coast Cricket Club - $3000 for new screens for safety.
- Suncoast Spinners Disability Basketball - $6072 to help fund their 2019 basketball tournament.
It’s great to see ratepayer funds going back into our local communities.
Keep your eyes peeled for potholes
A pothole hunt is underway after prolonged rain across our region over the past couple of weeks. Council crews have been busy fixing some potholes that emerged during the wet spell and would like the community’s help in locating the potholes. To report a pothole on a council road, please contact council’s customer contact centre on 5475 7272, email [email protected] or visit sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au.
