Verge Parking Workshop Outcomes

I attended the Verge Parking Workshop at Lake Kawana on Monday February 12 which provided a great opportunity for all sectors of the community to voice their opinion on the verge parking topic. Some interesting and informative ideas and approaches were put forward and these will now be reviewed and investigated to help council’s approach to managing verge parking in the future.

Sunshine Coast Libraries’ story seat

10 Story Seats, including one at Grahame Stewart Park in Currimundi, have been designed and constructed by Sunshine Coast Council, thanks to the State Government’s First5Forever funding. Each seat features artwork from a different children’s story book. These innovative and colourful story seats are being rolled out across the Sunshine Coast and families are encouraged to head off on an adventure to find them all, take a picture with the seats and share on social media using the hashtag #Storyseat. Currimundi’s story seat design is coming soon. Visit council’s library website for more details and join the #storyseat conversation by following Sunshine Coast Libraries Facebook page.
