Cr Baberowski - What's happening in Cribb Street, Landsborough
An update on the Cribb Street, Landsborough upgrade, a new Cultural Heritage Discovery Guide and nominate someone for the Sunshine Coast Australia Day Awards.
Cribb Street, Landsborough update
The $3.3 million Cribb Street upgrade is continuing. Major works, including road works, underground services and parking reconfiguration, will be complete by late October (subject to weather and site conditions). With most of the heavy construction activity on the railway side now complete, construction will flip to the shop side.
That means the northbound lane and on-street parking on the shop side will be temporarily closed. This is the time to really support these local businesses and thanks to everyone who has so far – keep it up. On-street parking will remain on the railway side.
Explore local like never before
Council recently updated the Cultural Heritage Discovery Guide, which has more sites and better designed to help you explore a selection of our region’s diverse First Nation sites, museums and heritage places.
If you visit a local museum, you can also pick up a new VIP Card which offers a 10 per cent discount on entry.
Pick up the guide from museums, libraries, council offices and visitor information centres, or try the electronic version on council’s app.
