Sunshine Coast Council advises public transport users that the Caloundra Transit Centre is currently closed after the building’s lessees went into liquidation and left the premises.
However, the bus stop is still operating as usual. Seating is available outside the Transit Centre and public toilets are located nearby.
Council has alerted Translink which is responsible for public transport, including the sale of go cards.
Residents and visitors to the Sunshine Coast looking to purchase a go card can still do so at any 7-Eleven store, many Queensland Rail stations and selected newsagents where you see the “buy” symbol.
For visitors, the Bulcock Street Visitor Information Centre is located at 77 Bulcock Street in Caloundra and is open 9am - 3pm daily.
This accredited visitor information centre offers a one-stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures, and itineraries.
Council is considering its options with the Transit Centre building.
