Children playing and reaching out to touch snow (artificial snow).

Taking place on Friday 26 June, from 4pm to 8pm, Bulcock Street will come alive with a festive program of entertainment, family-friendly activities and winter experiences by the sea.

The free community event invites locals and visitors to rug up and enjoy an enchanting evening featuring live music, street performances, interactive activities, kids rides and free face painting, alongside a vibrant winter market, late night retail shopping and delicious local cuisine.

A highlight of the evening will be the rare chance to experience falling (artificial) snow in a coastal Queensland setting, creating a truly unique winter atmosphere in the heart of Caloundra.

Sunshine Coast Council Division 2 Councillor Terry Landsberg said the event continues to grow in popularity.

“Winter Wunderland is one of those special events that really captures the spirit of Caloundra – bringing people together, supporting local businesses and creating a magical experience for all ages,” Cr Landsberg said.

“Seeing Bulcock Street transform with lights, music and even snowfall is something truly unique for our region and we’re proud to deliver an event the whole community can enjoy.”

Now in its fourth year, the event attracts thousands of attendees each year, with visitors travelling from Brisbane and across the region to experience the winter magic.

Attendees can browse market stalls showcasing handmade goods from local artisans, enjoy late-night retail, and take part in hands-on workshops throughout the evening.

Winter Wunderland is delivered through a collaborative partnership between Sunshine Coast Council, the Downtown Caloundra Taskforce, Caloundra Chamber of Commerce and the Caloundra Business Alliance, highlighting the strength of the region’s community and business networks.

The event is free to attend, with registrations encouraged to assist with event planning and communication.
