Council’s new video is bringing our Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games legacy vision to life, highlighting the opportunities, aspirations and long-term benefits that could shape the region for generations to come.

Set against some of the Sunshine Coast's most iconic landscapes, from the winding bends of the Maroochy River to the shores of Dicky Beach and the ancient peaks of the Glass House Mountains, the video reflects a future that extends well beyond four weeks of competition.

While the world will focus on the sporting action in 2032, the Sunshine Coast is focused on the legacy.

Building a lasting Brisbane 2032 legacy

Co-Hosting the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games presents an opportunity to deliver improved transport and community infrastructure, create more connected communities, encourage active and inclusive lifestyles, protect the natural places we love and support new jobs and opportunities.

At the heart of this legacy is the next generation.

Inspiring the next generation

Featuring local children, students and young athletes, the video captures the potential for Brisbane 2032 to inspire young people to dream bigger, aim higher and see themselves as part of something extraordinary.

It's a legacy that extends beyond venues and infrastructure. It's about making sure the benefits of the Games are felt across the region for years to come.

Council's Games Legacy Action Plan outlines how the Sunshine Coast will work towards achieving these long-term outcomes and creating lasting benefits for the community beyond 2032.
