For those with an eye on the sky, USQ Adjunct Professor and Sydney Observatory consultant astronomer Dr Nick Lomb will pose the question “who stole the night?” and will examine the challenges of outdoor light in our cities and towns on August 16.
Professional bat behaviourist and QUT researcher Professor Stuart Parsons will address some common myths surrounding flying foxes on August 22, while Dr Sandra Tuscynska will explain the evolutionary reasons for why some mushrooms glow in the dark in her presentation - Magic mushrooms: the wonder of bioluminescence.
