Kawana Aquatic Centre
The Kawana Aquatic Centre welcomes everyone, from recreational lap swimmers through to elite athletes.
The wait is over – Stage Two of Kawana Aquatic Centre’s splash-tacular transformation is complete! This multimillion-dollar major upgrade has delivered a new building featuring public amenities, office and a café, expanded picnic area, additional car parking and a Changing Places facility, designed to provide safe, hygienic and dignified changing options for people with high support needs and their carers.
Kawana Aquatic Centre is part of our thriving sporting heart - supporting the nearby Sunshine Coast Stadium and broader Kawana Sports Precinct.
The facility is managed by City Venue Management and features a variety of pools, children's play areas, and a dedicated learn-to-swim facility with aquatic wheelchair and hoist access.
Features:
- 50-metre ten lane heated Olympic pool
- 20-metre five lane enclosed program pool with aquatic wheelchair and hoist access, purpose-built for teaching programs and water safety programs
- 15-metre heated dive pool with 3m and 1m springboards.
Accessibility:
A series of accessible tools has been developed for Kawana Aquatic Centre to "Know before you go" and understand our venues accessibility ahead of time.
