Pot holes will pop up like mushrooms

Now that the big wet is over and the roads are starting to dry out, pot holes will start “popping up like mushrooms” over the coming week.
Infrastructure Services Director Andrew Ryan said Sunshine Coast Council crews were inspecting roads across the region and urged motorists to “call in a pothole”.
“The difficulty with potholes is that we can inspect a road one moment and a large truck can come through after we’ve left and break the surface,” Mr Ryan said.
“That’s why it’s important motorists let us know when they come across any road damage, so we can prioritise the jobs and get the crews out to repair them.
“I also urge drivers to be vigilant, to drive to the conditions and keep an eye out for road damage.”
Drivers can call the Customer Contact Centre on 5475 7272 or email [email protected].
Mr Ryan said some roads remained closed due to flooding or road damage.
