Swimming with the Whales

It was very tempting …. but I couldn’t make the date!

I received an invite from operators of Swimming with the Whales, a new Mooloolaba-based tourism business which carries groups of people out to where the whales pass, and offer the unique experience of swimming with humpback whales.

It sounds like a great experience, but I had to rain-check on the chance to join one of the trips. The season’s nearly over now, but you can bet I’ll be giving this a go next year …

Sunshine Coast Airport expansion

Don’t forget to have your say on the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Sunshine Coast Airport Expansion Project. The public comment period comes to an end at 5pm, Thursday 13 November 2014.

Submissions can only be made via the Office of the Coordinator-General. Visit www.haveyoursay.dsdip.qld.gov.au/coordinatorgeneral/SCAexpansion to download the EIS and to make an online submission.

Following the closure of the public comment period, Sunshine Coast Airport will review feedback gathered by the Office of the Coordinator-General and will respond appropriately. The EIS will then be lodged with the Office of the Coordinator-General and the Australian Government for approval determination.
