Flexilink pick up at Conondale General Store

New-look timetables have hit the streets for the Conondale to Maleny (via Witta) and Peachester to Beerwah Flexilink services to remind Sunshine Coast Hinterland residents that your Flexilink transport services are on-call to get you from A to B.

Transport Portfolio Councillor Rick Baberowski said council was proud to continue the services that have been running for eight years.

“The same great services will remain for the community, with the timetables having a new look to recognise the services are delivered with the support of the Sunshine Coast Council Transport Levy,” Cr Baberowski said.

“Our monthly passenger numbers on the Conondale to Maleny Flexilink are excellent. We see an average of 54 unique passengers making around 285 passenger trips across the service route, and there’s an average of 13 new passengers trying it each month*.

“Of the regular passengers, many use the service to connect with buses from Maleny to Landsborough or Nambour, and some use it for shopping and recreation purposes in Maleny.

“We would like to see more passengers on the Peachester to Beerwah Flexilink service, with an average of nine unique passengers making around 22 passenger trips a month.

“The beauty of these services is that council only pays for the service if passengers are on board, resulting in a low-cost service.”

Booking is a simple phone call, the drivers are friendly and polite and the services are affordable at $2 a trip, or $1 Concession/Child.

There are three services a day, and you must book your seat two hours ahead of departure, or by 9pm the previous night for the first morning services.

There are no designated stops along the routes. At the time of booking, the operator will advise you when and where along the route they can pick you up safely.

Timetables are available from Sunshine Coast Council’s website, Maleny and Beerwah Libraries, Conondale General Store, Peachester General Store and the Maleny Visitor Information Centre.
