Records about councillor conflicts of interests at meetings

Access to records of Councillors' Conflicts of Interests at meetings.

The Local Government Act 2009 (the Act), requires that councillors must manage their conflicts of interests at meetings.

In October 2020, the Act was amended to remove the requirement for council to publish records about how councillors’ conflicts of interests are dealt with at meetings.  This information is published in the minutes of council meetings.

In the interests of transparency and for ease of reference, details of both Prescribed Conflicts of Interests (PCOIs) and Declarable Conflicts of Interests (DCOIs) declared at meetings may be accessed at Councillor Conflicts of Interests Register.
