Iron Cage Collaboration Project - Zoe Martin and Michael Ciavarella
The key purpose of the funding for the Iron Cage Project was to contribute to video documentation of the community engagement, installation and exhibition. The Iron Cage Project provided an avenue for discussion about the fundamental quality in everyday life, repetition. The repetitive notion of domestic duties and of life itself is a recurring theme in both of these artists’ works. By bringing the 'Rat Wheel' and 'Inside the Iron' together as the Iron Cage Project viewers participated and contributed directly to both sculptural installations in this community based project.
