Individual Development Grants Details

Residents who represent the Sunshine Coast Local Government Area at competitions or events may apply for Individual Development Grants. Representation must be at a national or international level. Individuals must be selected by a recognised national governing body or equivalent and provide a letter of selection. 

Representation may be in the form of:

  • performing
  • competing
  • presenting

Funding is available in the following fields:

  • sport
  • arts and culture
  • community
  • heritage
  • economic
  • environment.

Note: Applications for sporting events must be competing in:

  • Official national or international championships or competitions that are endorsed by the Australian Sports Commission
  • A selected official Queensland or Australian team, endorsed by the relevant National Sporting Organisation (NSO).

Individual up to $500*

*Funding amounts are subject to budget and vary in line with distance travelled for the event. Maximum amount for International activities is $500 and maximum amounts for National activities is $350.

**Applications are made individually.

Activities may start as soon as applications have been submitted.

Group / team up to $2,000**

Assessment is every two months, ending February, April, June, August, October and December. 

You will be notified within four weeks of assessment.
