Council’s art collection aims to reflect and celebrate the character and culture of the Sunshine Coast. This collection aims to contain artworks that have a connection to the people and places of the region. It also aims to preserve and display a collection of state and national significance. This is through its broader holdings of contemporary Australian Art.
Through its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), council purchased a number of artworks by Traditional Custodians and First Nations people who call the Sunshine Coast home.
