The Sunshine Coast region has some of the best Enviromental Visitor Centres in Queensland. Showcasing the amazing diversity of nature, these places are open for the education and enjoyment of locals and visitors, all year round.

At any one of these locations, you'll be immersed in nature yet have volunteers on hand to guide you and tell you about what's new and interesting, especially as seasons change.
Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden
There are a range of guided walks hosted by volunteer guides, self-guided walks and other activities in the garden. There's a Children's Holiday Program and two exciting challenges for the whole family to enjoy - Great Botanic Race and Nature Agents of Discovery. Weekdays an onsite cafe is open or bring your own picnic and relax.

Environmental Visitor Centres
Volunteers at council's environmental education centers enrich and enhance the life of the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden, Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve and the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary at Bli Bli. It's also a great way to stay healthy, active and connected to your local community.
