You're invited to join Healthy Sunshine Coast as we bring together our local communities to recognise important dates, celebrate together and share the joy of being in our region's beautiful outdoor places and spaces.

In March, we've celebrated Parks Week 2021 and Harmony Week 2021. Congratulations to everyone in the community who took part in our events. Special acknowledgement and thank you to Program partners and dedicated Service Providers who support the program which such enthusiasm and care.

  • Harmony Day Celebrations

    Harmony Week  - Everyone Belongs

    Congratulations to everyone who joined Healthy Sunshine Coast at its first free Come & Try morning at the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden to celebrate this year's Harmony Week theme Everyone Belongs. Our celebration of all things healthy has only just begun!

    We offer a year-round open invitation for members the community, and visitors to the region, to participate in our program. Visit our webpages and discover the program's free and low cost weekly activities which are held in local community places and spaces.

    Simply JOIN THE MOVEMENT before your first class - its free.  
    Connect with Service Providers and complete any booking, registration and/or health check forms required.

  • Parks Week - celebrated every week!

    Parks and your wellbeing

    Thank you to everyone who joined in Parks Week activities. With this year's Parks Week theme focusing on the message How spending time in our parks and open spaces positively influences our wellbeing. 

    Everyone is encouraged to take time out from busy schedules and indoor routines and explore some of the region's unique and beautiful parks and gardens. Simply go for a walk, run or bike ride and because we know being active outdoors has great benefits for our mental health, Healthy Sunshine Coast free classes in the park continue throughout the year. 

    Choose to Move in the Park

    Lift your spirits and nurture your wellbeing by joining FREE weekly classes:

    • Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden, Tanawha - Yoga  - 7.30am Thursdays & Saturdays
    • Buderim Town Park, Buderim - Yoga on the Amphitheatre lawns - 4.30pm Tuesdays
    • Bankfoot House Heritage Precinct, Glass House - Mountain Movement - 7.30am Tuesdays
    • Kings Beach Park Amphitheatre,  Caloundra - Fast mid-week Zumba - 5.00pm Wednesdays

    Ideal for adults of all ages. Classes suit beginners and people returning to exercise after a break.
