Taz Calandruccio and his team operate two busy and award winning southern hinterland gyms. They host weekday Healthy Sunshine Coast classes for people over 55. There is plenty of variety with a mix of one hour classes. Ideal for building overall strength and stability as you age - suitable for beginners and those returning to exercise.  

These classes are very popular and bookings are essential. Due to overwhelming demand, Thursday classes have now been relocated along with Friday classes to Beerwah Community Hall so there plenty of space for more participants to join the class. There is also a new class at the Mooloolah Gym. The team also present the new gentle exercise class at Glass House Mountains called Mountain Movement.

  • Beerwah Gym

    Over 55s Movement, Balance & Stability Classes
    Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays

  • Beerwah Hall

    Over 55s Group Fitness class in the hall (from 7 February)  
    Thursdays and Fridays 8.00am
    Cost: $5.00 per class - pay on the day (cash only)

  • Mooloolah Gym

    Over 55s Movement, Balance & Stability Class (starts 6 February)
    Thursdays 8.00am
    Cost: $5.00 per class, pay on the day - cash or card

  • Glass House Mountains

    Yoga/Balance/Meditation for adults of all ages with Theresa 
    Saturdays 7.30–8.30am
    Bring a yoga mat, towel or rug, hat and wear sunscreen
    Insect repellent recommended if you're sensitive to bites
    Cost: $5.00 per class (cash on the day)

    • Wear loose fitting clothes and sturdy, comfortable shoes. Remember your water bottle and a towel
    • Membership fees do not apply to Healthy Sunshine Coast activities in community based gyms and halls – attendance is on a casual basis
    • New to classes?  Its always best to contact the provider who can answer any questions you may have
    • First Class - Arrive an extra 5 minutes early to complete registration/health check form
    • Regulars - When classes require booking, please let provider know if you are going to be absent or on holidays so someone else can take your place while you're away
