Outdoor activities assist you build strength and endurance, feel energised and learn new skills. Sessions offer a variety of benefits including a social and fun environment while approving fitness and ability. Try boxing, circuit, bushwalking and even learn to mountain bike.

Mooloolaba - with TAFE

Term 4 has commenced and you can register and join the sessions at any time.

Learn to mountain bike

Want to experience why Mountain Biking is so popular? Want to try riding a Mountain Bike on actual trails? Are you a beginner and want to learn the proper techniques?

Healthy Sunshine Coast in collaboration with Adventure Sunshine Coast and CORCA offer a series of Learn to Mountain Bike sessions.

Learn how to ride a Mountain Bike safely in an open field and off-road environment with qualified instructors. Build your confidence and reduce the risk of injury while increasing your enjoyment of this healthy, family-friendly and popular outdoor activity. Adults and teenagers welcome.

During the morning you will rotate through multiple work stations: 

  • learn about the key points of Mountain Biking
  • watch these skills demonstrated
  • practise these skills 

Then put your new skills into action with a supervised ride in the Sugarbag Road trails.  Bike hire can be arranged.

What to bring - suitable riding clothing, helmet, a mountain bike in good working order (or arrange a hire bike) drinking water and a snack for morning tea.

Last session for 2019: Sunday 3 November 7.30am- 12 noon

Caloundra Fire Station, 18 Industrial Ave, Caloundra West.

Cost: $10 per person $25 pp with bike hire. Please register to secure your place.

Guided bushwalking

Activities are hosted by Sunshine Coast Bushwalkers. Walks depart at 8.00am from the respective starting / meeting place. and participants should arrive 10 minutes early to meet the guide. Details of the planned walk including meeting place will be sent to registered walkers the before the walk. Maximum of 10 registrants for each walk.

Baroon Pocket Dam to Kondalilla Falls, Great Walk Section, Montville.

Rated Difficult. Duration of walk 4-5 hours (approx.).
