There is a range of grants, funding and subsidies that may be available to your club. Funding packages in response to Covid-19 are currently being developed by most levels of government, so check this page regularly for updates. Our Sports Planning and Development team will endeavor to email out grant information as it is received.
Council introduced COVID-19 Community Response Grants in May; the current round closed on 1 June 2020 and is undergoing assessment. at this time. Emergency grants are available and the next round of Community Grants are due to open in July. For more information and support visit Grants and Funding.
Clubs, associations and businesses can access information and links to a range of other funding sources and opportunities via council's funding finder.
Council is also partnered with GIVIT an Australia wide not for profit organisation. It provides an online portal which matches donations of goods and financial assistance with groups, clubs or individuals in need. Its a free service and an alternative way to find immediate help. Register your organisation.
To prepare organisations and clubs for the safe restart of activities, the Queensland Government has established the Sport and Recreation COVID SAFE Restart Plan.
The plan includes Active Clubs Kickstart program, FairPlay Vouchers, Active Restart Infrastructure Recovery Fund grants and support of peak bodies through the Active Industry Fund. The Australian Government has set up a team of dedicated customer representatives to explain the Australian Government assistance available to business. Get in touch with their Coronavirus business support service across Australia, seven days a week, between 7am and 9pm:

Economic stimulus package
This package includes access to JobSeeker payments to people with partners who earn up to $80,000 and JobKeeper payments of up to $1500 per employee for businesses to keep staff on. You can find more information on this package on the Prime Minister of Australia's website.
