Type 2 Diabetes free information workshops
Central Intake
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service provide free workshops for people who are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes, newly diagnosed or established. Family members and carers are also encouraged to attend.
Benefits of the workshop include:
• Updating knowledge of Type 2 Diabetes
• Network with other people with same condition
• Participate in a group education environment
• Receive links to other local support services
• Receive resources covering workshop information
• Experience a sense of motivation towards healthy lifestyle behaviours
Workshop guest speakers include Diabetes Educator, Social Worker, Dietitian and Health Promotion Officer. Workshops are held monthly in Gympie, Maroochydore, Caloundra and run for 4 hours For further information or to register call or email.
