106 Army Cadet Unit
The Australian Army Cadets (AAC) is a Commonwealth national strategic youth development program for adolescents between the ages of 12 and 19 years. It is conducted in communities and schools across Australia by the Australian Army (with support from the Department of Defence) in partnership with these communities and schools. The AAC is the public face of Army in many communities and often the only youth development organisation in a community, particularly in regional and rural areas. The partnership between Army and the community, forged through the over 100 year history of the AAC, is dependent on the shared contributions of people, physical and financial resources which create a strong bond of bilateral cooperation and understanding.
