The 2019 Mayor’s Telstra Innovation Awards have come to an end for another year. The region’s best and brightest young people brought their innovative ideas to life on 20 June in what can only be described as a truly impressive display of talent, creativity and ideas.

First Place: RoboGems - Chancellor State College

The all female team RoboGems from Chancellor State College, took out the top prize with their idea 'Parki-Bit'.

Second Place: RoboKings Beta - Chancellor State College

RoboKings Team members: Binara Wasla, Tom Barrett and Fionnbharr Jones


Third Place: RoboRoyals - Chancellor State College

RoboRoyals Team Members: Jameson Harvey, Declan Sonnet and Mackenzie Brown


Outstanding Female Entrepreneur:

Jasmine Harrison from Saint Andrews Anglican College


There was a 32% increase in female participation in this year’s program. With 17 female participants, choosing a winner for the Outstanding Female Entreprenuer Award was challenging for the Judges and Telstra. There were some very strong standouts through out the Awards.
