Biography 

Dr Lisa Martin has extensive experience in her field, providing support, education and assistance to enable individuals to achieve wellbeing, balance, and high performance in life, sport and business. Lisa specialises in assisting individuals to understand and manage stress, performance anxiety and trauma, and also those who are facing transition (change) in their lives. Lisa works with athletes engaged in a range of sports, including swimming, surf sports, equestrian, basketball, tennis, and golf, among others. She uses a client centred approach and draws on a number of different evidence based treatment modalities including Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, relaxation techniques, and mindfulness. Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS College of Sport and Exercise Psychologists (CoSEP). Completed a PhD which focused on elite athlete identity and retirement from sport. Masters qualification in Sport and Exercise Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Honours.
