In partnership with Urban Art Projects (UAP), we are offering a full day program for artists to meet industry professionals working in a variety of aspects of Public Art development, including artists, designers, fabricators and curators in a unique professional development opportunity.
The day consists of a studio tour at UAP in Brisbane and discussion with industry professionals. The group will travel to QAG for lunch break followed by an afternoon session with a unique opportunity to meet Robert Andrew, Lindy Lee and Backlash Creative for a presentation and Q&A and finishing off with gallery tour facilitated by QAG staff.
Lunch will be self-funded by attendees.
All transport will be provided at no cost to participants.
This opportunity is limited to 10 artists wishing to extend and explore their existing practice into the Public Art realm.
Artists will be selected through a curatorial process to ensure the highest learning opportunity is provided for individuals and the group. Successful artists will travel together in a chartered bus from 1 Omrah Ave, Caloundra and return to the same location. Artists will need to find their way to the departure location.
When: Friday 26th March 2021 8am sharp from 1 Omrah Ave Caloundra (artists must arrive by 7.50am to ensure timely departure)
Return: Approx arrival time 5.30pm Caloundra 1 Omrah Ave (cnr Nutley Street)
