The Sunshine Coast is the place to be this New Year’s Eve with a feast of family –friendly entertainment on offer at the region’s biggest end-of-year free event, New Year’s Eve Mooloolaba.
Sunshine Coast locals and visitors can welcome in the New Year and enjoy family-friendly entertainment along Mooloolaba Esplanade.
This year, the Sea Stage will feature an impressive line-up of live entertainment from 4:30pm.

There will be a range of fun children’s activities and entertainment at the Kids’ Zone, on Mooloolaba Beach and along Beach Terrace including street performers, Tribal Groove, Suzy the Face Painter, Katz Body Art, Bungee Trampoline, Beach Soccer, an Inflatable Obstacle Course and more.
Delicious food will be available from local street vendors, restaurants and cafes on the Esplanade.
New Year’s Eve Mooloolaba is a drug, alcohol and glass-free event. Intoxicated people will not be permitted entry.
Council delivers this iconic event in a relaxed, safe, security patrolled and fenced event zone and in partnership with a number of organisations including Queensland Police, SES, Queensland Fire and Emergency Service, Safe Nite Out, Red Frogs, Queensland Ambulance Service and Sunshine Coast First Aid Volunteers, ensuring public safety is paramount.
To light-up your NYE celebrations, you can bring battery operated LED products. Help us protect the environment, waterways and marine life by ensuring you bring your own empty water bottle and leave helium balloons and disposable chemical glow products at home.
