Local boys Hoo8Hoo (now known as End of November) hit the main stage at 7:30 pm and were followed by one of Australia's finest live acts Thirsty Merc after the 8:30 pm fireworks.
Cheap Fakes had the crowds grooving to their brass-fueled funk and soulful ska until the countdown to midnight.
At the Sea Stage, DJs were pumping out the latest hits and dance music, and keeping beach goers jumping.
