Sunshine Coast Council’s HackFest is offering a prize of a paid ICT role in the summer internship program ‘My Summer Workplace’.
Current university/Tafe students and recent graduates looking to put theory into practice should not miss this great opportunity! The prize winner will join the general program from the internship program that provides students with opportunity to gain experience in their chosen profession. Interns will gain exposure and industry experience whilst assisting the IT Development team across a variety of platforms and mediums.
Placement duration: My Summer Workplace runs from late November until late February 2018. This includes a 2 week break over the Christmas/New Year period. The role is a minimum of 3 days a week. (The HackFest winner will start from the first week in in December)
Payment: My Summer Workplace placements are paid. Students will receive a regular payment of $183 per day to help with the costs of transport, food and housing.
Eligibility: To be eligible for My Summer Workplace, applicants must:
- be entrants in HackFest 2017
- and have completed 16 or more subjects or have graduated within the last 12 months
- be an Australian/New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
