This location is popular for wedding ceremonies and events, and is a wonderful playground for families. This is a good location for water sports. There are sandy beaches and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. The most popular beach area is adjacent to Cliff Hargreaves Park on the southern bank were there are amenities and cafes. There are also kilometres of pathways linking all the lake foreshore parklands to explore.
