The collection of ceramic base relief panels draw the viewer along the walkway at the upper end of the Coolum Boardwalk (Wilkinson Park), Point Perry. The collection invites viewers to reflect on the delights of the natural environment of the area as well as the recreational activities to be enjoyed in the Coolum district.
Flora and fauna have been named on the panels so viewers can recognise birds, plants, animals and mountains. Where possible, Gubbi Gubbi (Kabi Kabi) names have been included to respect the first people of the Coolum Beach land.
The works were crafted by 20 local ceramic artists who are members of Clayden Potters who developed and proposed the project.
