Place2 is a creative placemaking project in Caloundra. Place2 involves 3 key initiatives:

  • Place2Paint - Brings building surfaces to life through curated contemporary mural art
  • Place2Play - Enlivens streets and laneways through playful participatory activations. To work in this field see the expression of interest.
  • Place2Connect - Transforming the under-utilised Transit Centre Bus Interchange Lounge into a creative space.

The project offers opportunities for new narratives that inspire curiosity and connection. It supports the dialogue between artists and communities.

Place2 invites people to rediscover the creative heart of Caloundra. The project builds on the area’s rich cultural heritage and natural assets. It seeks to embrace the unique narrative of the area with downtown Caloundra at its heart.

Arts and creativity are drivers of liveability, diversity and economic development. These are the foundations of creative regions and cultural sustainability. Place2 seeks to provide new ways for residents and visitors to experience Caloundra.
