This manual focuses on the land-clearing, civil works and allotment-building phases of urban development. It gives an overview of how development activities can comply with the environmental objectives of council's planning schemes.

Latest sediment capture technology
Improved designs in sediment capture technology have been developed in New Zealand by the Auckland Regional Council which are far more cost-effective for sediment capture than conventional basins. Trials by the Sunshine Coast Council in collaboration with industry partners has established their effectiveness regionally.
