The Community Nature Conservation Program supports the community to conserve and restore our natural bushland in council’s environment reserves.

Our volunteer program is a great way to meet new people, stay healthy and active, learn new skills and connect with nature while doing something good for the environment.

Community nature conservation volunteers actively participate in:

  • weed control
  • bush regeneration and restoration
  • revegetation
  • restoration of waterways
  • identifying and monitoring native plants and animals
  • training and workshops
  • writing newsletter articles
  • mentoring local schools.

You can join our 1,200+ volunteers annually planting 20,000 native trees and removing 550 wheelie bins of environmental weeds throughout 140 hectares of bushland. Follow the links below to find out how you can get involved.
