Council is committed to providing and maintaining infrastructure to service the needs of the region. Council has identified The Wharf Mooloolaba car park requires maintenance and upgrading and will complete the following works.

Project scope

Residents, visitors and businesses will soon have a smoother and safer car park for those coming to experience The Wharf precinct. Works will be staged to minimise disruption to residents, visitors and local businesses during the peak holiday periods.

Works have been scheduled to coordinate with the pathway and two pedestrian crossing works along Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba. While there will be some temporary limited parking available, the combined works minimise the impacts and period of disruption to businesses and the community.

Construction stages

Stage 1 – Western Parking Area (refer to green area on map below)

Works completed as part of Stage 1 rehabilitation were carried out on the Western side of the car park. Completed work included kerb and channel replacement, asphalt rehabilitation, line marking, stormwater drainage relining, pressure cleaning and minor landscaping improvements.

We extend our gratitude to local businesses, residents and visitors for your patience and understanding while we carried out the first half of this important carpark rehabilitation.
