Wetlands ClimateWatch Walk

TIME: 9am–11am, Wednesday September 21, 2022

WHERE: Maroochy Wetland Sanctuary, Sports Road, Bli Bli, QLD 4560

DETAILS: Join this citizen science activity and help record observations of plants and animals at the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary.

Life thrives within this wetland – a unique habitat on the edge of the river. Join volunteer guides as you explore the varied ecosystems of the sanctuary and spot the many birds, crabs and other life that call the wetlands home. You’ll identify indicator species and learn to use the ClimateWatch App so you can contribute to this important citizen science project.

Spring bird survey

DETAILS: Spring is here and the birds are busy. Join the Mary Cairncross spring bird survey and help count the birds in the reserve. DETAILS: Calling all citizen scientists. Join the spring survey of the red-legged pademelons in Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. These regular seasonal surveys help to monitor pademelon numbers and behaviour in the reserve. Anyone with an interest in observing native wildlife is welcome to join.
