Melbourne flight and accommodation up for grabs tomorrow

It will be a case of don’t forget your toothbrush at the Sunshine Coast Airport tomorrow morning as two people have the opportunity to win a free flight to Melbourne as part of Tiger Airways first birthday celebrations.

Sunshine Coast Airport General Manager Peter Pallot said he expected to see a good number of people at the airport on Wednesday morning to win a pre-Christmas flight and four night’s accommodation at the Vibe Savoy Hotel in Little Collins Street Melbourne.

“This is the first time we have undertaken a competition like this and it’s really exciting, it’s a great way to celebrate Tiger Airway’s first birthday of flights into the Sunshine Coast. Over the past year, 17,000 people have visited the region thanks to Tiger Airways and this will increase significantly from December 15th with the commencement of daily flights from Melbourne.

“We have Hot 91 broadcasting live in the piazza at the terminal with a free breakfast BBQ from 6.00am so we are encouraging people to pack their suitcases and get in early to enter the competition on Wednesday morning.

“We will be drawing the competition at approximately 8.45am and the two lucky competition winners must be ready to board the 10.20am Tiger Airways flight to Melbourne.

The lucky winners will be touching down in time for lunch at one of Melbourne’s many outstanding eateries and they have until Sunday to enjoy the many cultural, sporting and entertainment attractions that the Victorian capital has to offer,” Mr Pallot said.

The Sunshine Coast Airport will provide free car parking to everyone who comes out for the promotion between 6.00am-9.00am on Wednesday morning.
