Tales from Fire and Rescue Services
  • Friday 05 June 2015

Join Scott Daly, the area commander for Queensland Fire and Rescue Services at Maroochydore Station, for an account of his time as a firefighter in fire and rescue services when he visits the Maroochydore Library this month.

Sunshine Coast Council, in partnership with the Friends of Maroochydore Library, will present the speaker program - Tales from Fire and Rescue Services - at the library on Thursday, June 25 from 5.30pm.

Originally from the Blue Mountains, Scott has spent 25 years working in fire and rescue services. He will talk about the role of a firefighter today, safety in the home and some of his highs and lows of his work. Through his work he has come across heroism, sadness and, in some cases, joy.

Cost to attend is just $7 per person and includes light refreshments. Bookings are essential by visiting Council’s library website or calling 54758989.
