At a special budget meeting recently, Sunshine Coast Council endorsed a 10-year $54 million streetscape program, focusing on improving the look and feel of transport corridors, major centres and local centres throughout the Sunshine Coast region.
An expected allocation of $54 million will enable council to systematically refresh major and local streetscapes, along with key transport corridors based on the needs of the community over the next ten years.
Sunshine Coast Council is committed to delivering a sustainable region and in the 2011/12 financial year is expected to spend in excess of $7.9 million on streetscaping projects throughout the region.
