Having performed sell out shows across Victoria, South Australia and WA, Sun Rising - The Songs That Made Memphis is heading to Queensland and will perform one show only at Sunshine Coast Council’s Nambour Civic Centre on Friday, June 6 at 8pm.
Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Rufus Thomas Jnr, Howlin' Wolf and many more... all had one thing in common! They all launched their careers at the famous Sun Records in Memphis. You're promised an unforgettable night as Sun Rising - The Songs That Made Memphis, brilliantly relives the amazing music and classic stories of Sun Record’s early years, paying homage to the artists and Sun Record’s owner and producer, Sam Phillips.
One of the band’s front men, David Cosma, has spent considerable time on the Sunshine Coast.
“I’ve been coming to the Coast regularly for the last six years or so with my own music but this Sun Rising tribute show we've been doing has really taken off so I’m super excited we’re bringing it to the Sunny Coast.”
This critically acclaimed show will take you on a musical and historical journey and has been leaving audiences yelling for more, so don’t miss out on the first Queensland show.
