If you missed your chance to enter the coast’s very own film festival set to kick off next week, don’t despair – you may still have an opportunity to put your creative filmmaking efforts to good use.
SCRUFFFY, an initiative of Youthlinx, has teamed up with the Sunshine Coast Libraries to run filmmaking workshops throughout the school holidays, culminating in a special SCRUFFFY screening.
Caloundra Librarian Louise Bauer said the film workshops are being offered as part of the Libraries Create! school holiday program in conjunction with SCRUFFFY.
“We are excited to be part of what has grown into the coast’s pre-eminent youth film festival, and look forward to working with youth interested in this genre as part of our upcoming school holiday program,” Ms Bauer said.
The Caloundra Library will open its doors for a special after hours presentation of the films created by the workshop participants on Friday 4 July, from 6pm to 7pm.
