When global networking guru Robyn Henderson visits the Coast providing new tips and tricks to use networking to benefit your business will you be SCENE there?
SCENE is a Sunshine Coast Council initiative which provides the events industry with an opportunity to network and make contacts with suppliers, industry representatives and hear great guest speakers.
This month’s networking evening will be held at the University of Sunshine Coast on Wednesday 20 July 2011 where Ms Henderson, who has authored and contributed to more than 25 books (including 15 on networking and business building and three on self-esteem and confidence building), will be the guest speaker.
Ms Henderson has 18 years public speaking experience, spoken in 12 countries and has never once advertised her business. All of her work comes from networking, referrals and her website. Find out how she does it at this month’s SCENE.
The fantastic evening will showcase catering by the University, spectacular theming by Wicked Wolf Events, and the chance to play with some new technology in the Digi-Diary.
Sunshine Coast Council Senior Event Coordinator, Janine Symons said it’s up to each one of us to take responsibility for ensuring the events industry on the Sunshine Coast continues to build and thrive.
"It would be great if we could source local companies for our event needs rather than looking at Brisbane based or interstate companies," Ms Symons said.
"Let’s keep our business local and build our region into a competitive and market leader in the events industry – but to do that we need your ongoing support.
"Come along, trade business cards and get to know what fantastic companies the Sunshine Coast has to offer."
The networking evening will be held at the USC Innovation Centre foyer from 5:30 to 7pm and is free to attend. RSVP email@example.com or 5441 8403 by Friday 15 July.
SCENE is proudly supported by Business Events Sunshine Coast, the University of the Sunshine Coast and Sunshine Coast TAFE who all have strong input and involvement with the network.
